What is Sadaqah Animal?

Sadaqah Animal (from the Arabic for "that which is slaughtered") is an animal slaughtered according to Islamic rites — by hand, in the name of Allah, and in a way that minimises suffering.
Unlike Qurbani, which is tied to Eid al-Adha, a Sadaqah Animal can be given as Sadaqah at any time of the year, regardless of your circumstances.
For many of the families Muntada Aid works with, a donated Sadaqah Animal may be the only time in months they have access to fresh meat and the protein it provides.
