Manal Family- The Victims of War

Manal and her children fled their village when drones struck her home, killing her husband. She took shelter with 14,000 people in Ar Rusayris area in eastern Sudan.

They took shelter in 3 school villages and were dependent on charity from locals.

In October 2026, Muntada opened a camp to shelter 1250 people, where each family is provided with an all-weather family tent. Each month, these families will receive daily cooked meals, family food packs, health services, water and sanitation.

At least 14 million people have been displaced in the ongoing war, and at least 300,000 people have been killed.
