Muntada Aid in Bangladesh

Muntada Aid has a very proud history of working in Bangladesh, delivering programmes that not only cater to emergencies but also build resilience through sustainable development. Here is a brief summary of some of our ongoing programmes in the country.

  Little Hearts

  Our flagship Little Hearts programme in Bangladesh provides heart operations to children from underprivileged backgrounds at our permanent cardiac centre in Dhaka. So far, we have carried out over 970 heart operations in the country.

• 

  Livelihoods

  Through our livelihood programmes, we provide people with resources to build sustainable income sources for their families.

• 

  Water and Sanitation

  Over the last decade, we have provided hundreds of thousands of people with clean drinking water in some of the country's most remote areas.

• 

  Education

  Our education programme in Bangladesh provides accommodation, food and education to children from socially marginalised communities.

• 

  Women's Health Programme

  Our Women's Health Programme provides women with access to healthcare, including women socially ostracised for having conditions like fistula.

• 

  Cataracts

  In addition to Little Hearts and our Women's Health Programme, we run other health programmes, including free cataract and eye operations in Bangladesh.

• 

  Food and Emergencies

  We provide thousands of people with food during emergencies and year-round.

Parking

There is no general visitor parking at the venue, though two disabled parking bays can be booked in advance for blue badge holders. Whitechapel station (Elizabeth line, Underground and Overground) is directly opposite and offers step-free access.
