Yesterday was the final day of our 8th Little Hearts Project mission in Sudan. This week our remarkable award-winning volunteer medical team have saved the lives of 70 children.

At the closing ceremony for the mission, our CEO Hamid Azad gave this speech

22 February 2018:

Dignitaries, Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters,

Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullah.

Peace and blessings of Almighty God be with you.

Today is another great memorable day in my life. I feel honoured and privileged to stand before you at this amazing event to celebrate the success of a great mission, the mission of saving lives, the mission of restoring hope, the mission of eliminating pain, the mission of bringing smiles and happiness.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, 70 lives of young children, ages ranging from 2 months to 14 years, have been saved by Muntada Aid’s Little Heart Mission in Sudan, just in one week. I feel really humbled and privileged that Allah Almighty has given me the opportunity to be part of this mission,as His servant, dedicated in serving humanity through a great humanitarian organisation. When I saw that after a successful surgery a two months old baby was smiling at me and Dr. Khalid, a mother of a 3 year old boy was saying to me “I lost all hope but you gave me a world of hope” I felt overwhelmed and found the meaning of my life. When I heard from a 6 years’ old boy that he wants to be a doctor so that he can help others as the doctors saved his life, I felt a divine happiness and hope for a bright future for our generations to come.

May Allah give hayatan tayyibah to all the children who have been successfully treated by Muntada Aid’s Little Heart team. May Allah grant best of His rewards for all who contributed to make this mission and all other such missions successful.

The Vice President of Sudan Mr. Bakry Hasan Saleh, along with the Health Minister came to visit our mission. This is a testimony of the value of this mission to Sudanese nation.

What is Muntada Aid?
Muntada Aid is an international charitable agency based in the UK.  It works to alleviate poverty through education, healthcare, water and sanitation, economic empowerment in worlds poorest and deprived countries.

Our motto is serving the community.

Our vision is to build a world where people will live with peace and dignity without reliance on Aid.

Our work is based on universal Islamic humanitarian values of compassion, justice and social responsibilities irrespective of race, gender, religion, colour and ethnicity.

We believe that every human being has a right to have a happy, peaceful and dignified life.

We also believe that when ever and where ever anybody is in distress they deserve our help.

We do not believe in a cosmetic solution of deeper problems or media centric action of attaining name and fame.

We believe in sustainable solutions of problems that are affecting our society in particular and humanity in general. This is why our programmes aimed to irradicate root causes of disasters and distresses.

Little Heart Programme is a prime example of these values and beliefs.

Each year more than one million babies are born worldwide with a congenital heart defect. 100,000 of them will not live to see their first birth day and thousands more die before they reach adulthood.

Muntada Aid’s Mission is to change this heartbreaking situation. We firmly believe that “Every heart deserves to be beat, every life deserves a dignified life”.

Our faith taught us “Whoever saves a life is as if he/she saved the entire humanity”

Our Prophet taught us: “ Be kind to the creations on earth, the Lord of heaven will be kind to you”

This is what motivated Muntada Aid to start Little Hearts programme as one of its core programmes.

With the help of our generous donors and with the unparalleled generosity of our doctors MA has managed to save thousands of lives in the last 5 years like we did here in this week.

Message to donors:
I would like to give a message to our beloved donors loudly and firmly that every single penny of your donations are utilised to save lives. Your donations are bringing hope and happiness to thousands of children and their families. Please keep donating through Muntada Aid with trust and conviction.

I would like to make a plea to reach to the people of Sudan. Please see; we, the members of Muntada Aid Little Heart Mission came from the UK, Canada, KSA, Venezuela, Jordan, Philippines, Malaysia and Netherland to save lives in your country. If you come forward, as Sudani Telecom came forward to help our Little Hearts Mission and help us we can commit to you that we will help you, and treat all of your children who have congenital heart defects in Sudan.

Finally, I would like to give a big thank you to our beloved doctors, anaesthesiologists and nurses for their unparalleled sacrifices. I do not have any words to pay the right gratitude to you. But I can firmly say, my dear brothers and sisters, every child’s smile is a reward, every mother’s dua is a gift. There is no better reward than that and there is no better way of expressing thanks for your generosity.

Thank you to
